Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in compliance, IT audit, or risk management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications in CISA/CISSP/PMP/CIA/CPA/CFE.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams on risk-by-design or controls implementation.
  • Experience in the digital advertising, media, or technology industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to digital platforms or advertising.
  • Understanding of internal controls and the three lines of defense models.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of risk assessment methodologies (e.g., for compliance, product, or operational risks) tailored to the Ads business. Drive and support the execution of these risk assessments, from scoping, analysis and reporting to identifying owners and tracking mitigation.
  • Act as a partner to product area groups to implement and embed risk management processes directly into their workflows.
  • Support internal and external audit activities by acting as a primary point of contact for risk and control inquiries. 
  • Develop measurable benchmarks and reporting to evaluate team direction and progress on approved implementation plans.
  • Support the design, build, and documentation of foundational processes, frameworks and standards for risk identification, classification, measurement and reporting that can scale with the business.
