Technical Program Manager, YouTube Creator Support

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in agile project management, strategy development, and e-commerce.
  • Experience in technical program management, and project planning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree, or PhD in engineering, computer science, or in a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with lifecycle management in a fluid software environment, and with consumer facing products.
  • Experience with GenAI frameworks, models, and tools.
  • Ability to be proactive and willing to drive technical discussions or resolve technical issues with Engineering leads.
  • Ability to organize chaos associated with nascent/fast growing products, and to navigate ambiguity with ease while introducing the right level of structure.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will build products to help Creators create modern multi-format content while scaling responsibility for cutting edge generative AI technology. This is a very exciting time to be working in this space as the industry is experiencing disruptive changes with how content is created and consumed.

You will be a highly experienced and motivated Technical Program Manager (TPgM) with a proven track record of delivering complex technical programs to join the dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple large-scale, cross-functional technical programs with significant impact on the organization's strategic goals.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, ensure alignment and buy-in throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Plan and prioritize implementation tasks for features including scope, schedule, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies.
  • Track and report program progress against key milestones and metrics, ensure transparency and accountability. 
  • Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity.
