Strategy and Operations Lead, gTech

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) in a related field (Business, Legal, Marketing, Finance, Technical).
  • Experience executing complex and operational initiatives with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Experience implementing large-scale initiatives in a demanding, change-oriented, fluid environment.
  • Proficiency with structuring tactical analysis and messaging using spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Proven ability to work with different team members to design processes and implement projects that solve business issues.

gTech’s Strategy & Operations team (gSO) is made up of partners and trusted advisors that deliver success and changes for gTech. We create value through deep functional and business expertise combined with problem-solving excellence to formulate and deliver strategies. Using core capabilities (e.g., strategy, analytics, and communications) we empower gTech to do amazing things to land the present, and build for the future.

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team ensures Google's complex and ever-evolving Ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting go-to-market strategy, and ensuring flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We have teams embedded in each of the major Ads business areas as well as global teams that work across the business areas. Team members are analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business, supporting the leadership on key initiatives and building operational excellence, helping chart out and fulfill big bets for the business in line with the leadership’s tactic goal.
  • Manage major tactic initiatives across multiple gTech teams and work with Google-wide stakeholders when needed (e.g., projects that cross-Product, Sales, Marketing, and Policy).
  • Solve issues with executive leaders to deliver insights and recommendations based on business analyses to drive projects and initiatives forward.
  • Launch and land organizational change management plans for mid to long-term modification initiatives.
