Product Strategy and Operations Lead

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in management consulting, product management, or analytics in a technology company.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple cross-functional programs or projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • Experience at a management consulting firm, investment bank, or equivalent project management experience in a strategy function or line role for a technology firm.
  • Experience with executive stakeholder management and executive conversations, written and verbal, both internal and external.
  • Experience in mobile, payments industry, or online commerce.
  • Experience in program management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

Google Payments is in the midst of a Fintech revolution which is leading the global shift from cash to mobile payments. Brazil is at the forefront of this change with the recent launch of the PIX “payment ” and open finance policies presenting new ways in commerce and financial services. In this role, you will work with payments, product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to embark on an aspiring goal of building a product and ecosystem that unlocks opportunities for users, merchants, and financial institutions.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop region or market-level strategic narratives for Google Pay (GPay), Google Wallet user, merchant, and value growth as well as contribute to product design or roadmap based on local insights that drive product narrative for Google Pay in Brazil.
  • Drive Go-To-Market work streams that require executive leadership alignment and decisions on associated plans and strategy.
  • Work with the analytics team to enable detailed reporting and business insights for the region, deep-dive into user behaviour and product metrics.
  • Generate key industry, product or engaged trends and insights that enable cross-functional teams across the region to drive growth or facilitate planning of Go-to-Market approach.
  • Drive quarterly or annual Objectives and Key Results (OKR) setting and tracking for specific priority areas, ensuring alignment with product leadership and cross-functional teams.
