Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.
- 5 years of experience working in an e-commerce, gaming, apps digital content business.
- 5 years of experience in a Product Management, Product Operations, or a similar role working with products in an online commerce or content business.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with Product and Engineering teams to make trade-offs and launch user-facing product features.
- Experience designing and implementing product development frameworks.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing partners, with excellent communication and program management skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and organizations, prioritizing workloads based on business case analysis and investigative skills.
- Excellent prompt engineering and human computation skills.
About the job
As a Product Specialist, you will partner with different Play Product, Engineering and Product Marketing teams to determine the requirements and roadmap for launching and optimizing emerging programs, features, and products. You will lead the operationalization efforts, and come up with solutions and processes that enable scale.
This role primarily focuses on enabling new content experiences within the mobile app ecosystem through design, test, experiment and scale new features that reaches users across multi-categorical landscape spanning from games, to productivity and social apps.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Drive Play Store product roadmap execution for search, discovery, and engagement across all form factors (e.g., mobile, large screen, watches), focusing on apps and multi-modal content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Business Development) to develop new capabilities, launch products, and scale content solutions like video and text pipelines.
- Define and operationalize content guidelines for classification, evaluation, and deployment to connect users with relevant, high-quality content leveraging Machine learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs) and Human Expert labels.
- Track new feature development and communicate milestones, details, and launches to stakeholders and leverage user insights and subject matter knowledge (e.g., customer life-cycles, segments, data analysis, market research) to inform content featuring outcomes.
- Own product feature operationalization, managing design, legal, and operational processes, including communications, testing, launches, training, and ongoing technical support.
