Chief of Staff, Operations, Google Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in management consulting, operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 8 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • 5 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with analytical problem-solving, quantitative analysis, and communicating findings to executive management.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
  • Ability to work across teams, build relationships, and influence executives.
  • Ability developing and understanding strategy.

In this role, you will join the leadership team as StratOps Lead for the GPS business operations organization. The GPS business is in the early stages of becoming a highly scaled operation that relies on People, Process, Programs, and Partners to generate high sales productivity and meet our growth targets.

We focus on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations, and we continue to make significant investments and grow our team to meet the complex needs of local, state and federal government and educational institutions.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $219,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic thought-partner to leadership, translating organizational goal into tangible execution efforts and high-impact decision-making frameworks.
  • Orchestrate the business cadence by managing OKRs, QBRs, and annual planning to ensure operational excellence and alignment across all organizational levels.
  • Direct strategic communications and content for executive-level review, providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to drive critical business pivots.
  • Cultivate influential stakeholder partnerships across GPS and Commercial Cloud to advance strategic goals and optimize cross-functional program delivery.
  • Lead complex special projects and continuous improvement initiatives, managing a $20M+ OpEx budget and headcount to streamline processes and scale seller productivity.
