Head of Industry, Automotive (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12 years of experience in advertising sales, digital marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Experience in people management.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to engage with clients in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing and developing sales teams to deliver results with a shared insight and purpose.
  • Experience influencing executive-level clients and stakeholders and driving results in agile environments.
  • Experience in sales and operations management, planning, and systems thinking, with the ability to align strategies and deliver customer business outcomes.
  • Understanding of customer business objectives and ability to develop joint business plans in an ambiguous environments.
  • Knowledge of Google Ad Solutions, video advertising (e.g., AI-powered Performance, CTV, AI-powered Video) and the key performer landscape across traditional and digital brand media advertising.

As the Head of Industry you will lead and strengthen a sales team focused on a small set of the world’s largest automotive advertisers. Leadership entails inspiring the team with compelling goals for how we can identify client business issues in order to deliver value to our customers. You will run the day-to-day operations for your team by setting clear goals and helping the team to clear roadblocks. You will collaborate effectively with fellow managers, partner with sales leadership to set vertical-wide objectives, and build relationships across the Google network. Actively engaged with clients and agencies, you will build the business and develop a reputation for thought leadership and industry change while demonstrating how Google products can enhance and transform businesses.

Google's Large Customer Sales (LCS) teams are strategic partners and industry thought leaders to the world's leading brands and agencies. We continuously challenge how customers think about their business and how Google can support growth. We focus on helping these players navigate profound industry shifts and drive outsized business performance by competitively selling Google's full suite of advertising solutions across Search, YouTube, Measurement, and more. As a member of our LCS team, you'll have the unique opportunity to sell at the forefront of technology, collaborating with executives, influencing market-shaping strategies, and delivering tangible results that significantly impact major global businesses and drive the growth of Google.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $202,000-$281,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Account Executives, setting and communicating team priorities while making decisions and supporting activities that align with Google’s values.
  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and executive partner stakeholders, developing a comprehensive understanding of their business issues, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Structure a clear, long-term joint strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross-functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success.
  • Plan for, and achieve, growth goals through the presentation of Google advertising products and solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives.
  • Build an in-depth knowledge of how Google advertising products work and can be used to help meet a wide range of marketing objectives.
