Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
  • 2 years of experience launching ecommerce or Search products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience with Advertising, Ecommerce, or Commercial verticals.

Vertical user journeys represent a large percent of search usage. With a vertical-focused approach, we can create compelling experiences that delight users & advertisers, and deliver substantial business value. Together with Search partner teams, Google is making major bets in many verticals - providing users with rich relevant results, unique insights, and real time info about offers, pricing and availability, and developing rich engaging ads that feel like answers and help users discover great offers and businesses in each vertical.

Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Generate deep user & customer insights and identify the biggest growth levers to increase user and advertiser value.
  • Work collaboratively to build alignment at team, executive, and customer level to motivate investment.
  • Design, build and launch highly engaging new ad formats across Google's marquee properties - Search, Maps, Youtube, Discover.
  • Design, build and launch new advertiser experiences that meet industry-specific needs that unlock new budgets or customer segments.
  • Lead execution across an extended cross-functional team, and work closely with partner teams across Ads, Search, and Global Business Organization (GBO).
