Strategic Partner Manager, Content Partnerships, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in sales and business development/consulting/content planning, with exposure to areas like media strategy, publishers, healthcare, civic entities and internet based Businesses.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience in managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA, MS or other advanced degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to identify/review potential business opportunities, assess business benefits, structure agreements and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Ability to operate with flexibility in a fluid, sensitive, constantly evolving and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate interest in, or willingness to learn, technological concepts, financial models, and Government policies.
  • Ability to rigorously structure, analyze, and solve complex business problems, as well as deliver impact against business goals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and investigative skills regarding contractual, technical, and financial matters.

As a Strategic Partner Manager (SPM) on the Content Partnerships team at YouTube, you will have an opportunity to create long-lasting relationships with your portfolio of partners, and to apply and hone business skills in an entrepreneurial environment.

The SPM is comfortable working on complex content agreements with partners, as well as working cross-functionally with colleagues across multiple disciplines, to ensure the partners are positioned for success on YouTube and to provide the best possible experience for users and across the ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow strong direct relationships with a portfolio of partners, which includes day-to-day partnership activities, performance growth, and advocate internally on behalf of the partners.
  • Define, model, execute against and analyze key distribution and product adoption metrics and recommend improvements internally and to partners.
  • Participate in new business development, including evaluating potential partners or programs within select industries, market and content analysis, agreements management and closing.
  • Work with teams, across the YouTube Business Organization and cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Policy, Comms, Legal and others) to bring the solutions to partners.
