Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
- 6 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale data processing and analysis using tools such as BigQuery or Apache Spark.
- Experience in multiple programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, and Typescript and SQL.
- Experience utilizing systems for collaborative code review, version control, continuous integration, and automated testing.
- Experience working with Protocol Buffers.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies, particularly in the context of natural language processing and sentiment analysis.
- Familiarity with Buganizer or similar issue-tracking systems and a passion for user experience and creating intuitive and impactful interfaces.
About the job
As an Executive Web Solutions Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and scaling of systems that support the entire YouTube organization, requiring expertise in full-stack development, data visualization, and user-centric design. You will focus on building and maintaining the technical infrastructure that enables YouTube to understand and respond to user needs, driving product and service improvements. You will prioritize code quality and testing.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy scalable software platforms for YouTube teams, including Back-end APIs, front-end interfaces and data pipelines.
- Ensure your solutions can manage large volumes of data and user interactions, maintaining high performance and reliability.
- Ensure seamless data accessibility for operational reporting and data visualization by teams through meticulous technical solution design. Author and review technical documentation encompassing design, development, revisions, and code reviews across various programming languages.
- Build interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into user sentiment, feedback trends, defects and product performance.
- Explore and implement AI/ML technologies to automate feedback classification, sentiment analysis, and anomaly detection. Conduct code analysis, review, and modification to optimize operating efficiency, adapt to new requirements, and execute testing, debugging, maintenance, and program updates.
