Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Technical, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience, including experience in management consulting or technology and capital program companies.
  • Experience defining direction for engineering or operations organizations.
  • Experience leading and partnering with cross-functional executive stakeholders and leaders on programs and leading organizational change.
  • Financial management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Technical, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in high tech, large-scale hyperscaler operational management.
  • Experience with gathering competitive/market intelligence and process/performance benchmarking.
  • Expertise in financial management strategies and operations.
  • Bias for action, leading complex transformation projects requiring significant organization change management from concept to impact.

About the job

In this role, you will be a key enabler for the success of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Technical Infrastructure (TI) Engineering. You will work with leaders and teams across all functions within GCP/Site Reliability (SRE) and partner teams (e.g., Finance, AI2, People Operations, REWS, Recruiting, and Legal) as well as with GCP/TI StratOps teams, product operations, and technical program management teams—to drive and execute the organization's overarching strategy and operational objectives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $323,000-$449,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end strategic planning, including annual and semester cycles, ensuring alignment across the GCP/SRE organization and with Google-level goals.
  • Manage the rhythm of business, focusing on headcount, financial planning, and spend governance in coordination with Finance and GTM teams.
  • Oversee process architecture and the internal tooling roadmap to identify improvements and automate workflows across engineering and partner functions.
  • Serve as a central nervous system for GCP/SRE, coordinating cross-functional efforts and obtaining support for major organizational change programs.
  • Foster a high-performing culture through talent development and unique perspectives, while acting as a strategic partner to executive leadership.
