Strategic Partner Manager, News and Civics, YouTube (Fixed-Term Contract)

Minimum qualifications:

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with News or Civics partners, understanding their business needs and issues, with comparable experience in another industry such as Media.
  • Experience in developing partnerships, managing client stakeholders and leading initiatives while demonstrating record of effective business development, relationship management and planning.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

About the job

As a part of the Media CO and Responsibility Partnerships team in Korea, you will empower media partners' success on YouTube by working with enterprise partners across various industries, from traditional media giants to emerging digital players. You will scale business on YouTube, provide guidance, and contribute to YouTube's mission as a responsible platform while building expertise in partnerships and business development within Korea's growing creator ecosystem.

In this role, you will provide critical support to YouTube news and civics partners for 9 months, managing partnerships with established news organizations, government entities, and endemic creators to drive adoption and understanding of YouTube. You will advise partners on maximizing reach and business, quickly analyze issues, navigate ambiguity, and adapt your approach to evolving priorities, and ideally have experience with global, cross-functional teams and partnerships.At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we share, and build community through our stories. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations, fielding and prioritizing incoming requests, and troubleshooting and bringing issues to resolution.
  • Consult with partners on YouTube channel strategy development and platform tools while defining and measuring relevant performance metrics.
  • Play a core role in the YouTube news and civics team’s flagship event.
  • Manage a scaled education program for growing organizations.
  • Prepare presentations and convey findings and recommendations from initiatives to executive management.
