Business Finance MBA Intern, 2025 (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time MBA program.
  • 5 years of work experience in an analytical environment including, but not limited to, financial planning and analysis, business analytics, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationships in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience partnering with executive leadership and driving impact.
  • Excellent business acumen, leadership skills, with the ability to communicate with clarity and engage with executive management team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skill, with the ability to put structure to ambiguous problems and drive insights.
  • Excellent analytical and technical (e.g., Financial Modeling/SQL/Data Viz) skills, with the ability to work with large volumes of complex data.

Business Finance is part of Google’s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization, providing financial and analytical support to Google’s business organization. Our work is integral to the strategic decision-making, investment, and operations of the commercial teams across all our advertising products and the marketing, platform, and devices leadership. From understanding market and usage trends to exploring the productivity and return of our various investments, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business leaders.

Business Finance Mission

The Finance team partners with sales, marketing, product and cross-functional leadership to provide analytical insights and recommendations on key business decisions. We are responsible for core operations such as forecasting and budgeting, and act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on topics such as business performance, risks and opportunities, market acceleration plans and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business strategy and define financial analysis objectives and needs for the area of the business, and effectively prioritize activities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to sales leaders (Director+) on business performance, investments and finance related priorities. Provide management with clear insights and recommendations and interact regularly to drive business enhancing sales and product actions.
  • Lead analytical deep dives separately in partnership with Finance and cross-functional partners, bring clarity to the biggest and most complex problems.
  • Communicate effectively by clearly and confidently conveying a message by simplifying technical complexity behind solutions/calculations, and telling the bigger picture focusing on actionable insights.
