Solutions Consultant, Office of the CISO

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in a technical project management or a customer-facing role.
  • 12 years of experience in a technical project management or a technical customer-facing role.
  • 10 years of experience in one or more of these regulated/standard driven sectors in Japan: Financial Services, Manufacturing, Telco, Healthcare.
  • 10 years of experience in cyber-security, cloud computing, emerging technologies, or a related role.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently as this is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Japanese with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 12 years of experience managing security-related advisory or implementation projects, and working with security controls design, security architecture, cyber risk management, or customer-side cloud security technologies.
  • 7 years of experience in a technical leadership role with/without direct reports.

The Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a security advisory team and has a singular mission of supporting the security and digital transformation of governments, critical infrastructure, enterprises, and small business.

In this role, you will enable the wide-scale adoption of Google Cloud by Japan's enterprises, in any industry and in any market. You will help to establish Google Cloud as the most trusted cloud and an effective partner for security transformation, you will be responsible for serving as a principal advisor in direct customer engagements at the C-level across all industry sectors in Japan. Additionally, members of the Office of the CISO serve as cybersecurity thought leaders in key industry forums and are expected to develop thought leadership focused on driving the adoption of critical security practices across enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive technical leaders in our clients (e.g., Enterprise (Security) Architects, Chief Data Officers, and Chief Technology Officers) complementing the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) Director conversations with the CISOs.
  • Extend OCISO's scope by engaging stakeholders across the entire C-suite on strategic security architecture discussions, thought leadership and strategic customer messaging/communications.
  • Design and evolve comprehensive security architectures tailored to critical sectors.
  • Work across all industry sectors in Japan, including Financial Services, Healthcare, Public Sector, Telco, Retail, and Manufacturing to support cybersecurity/cloud security engagement with C-Suite clients in these sectors.
  • Collaborate with OCISO's Trusted Architecture function to extend technical solution designs into broader enterprise architecture frameworks.
