Strategic Partner Manager, Gaming and Apps, Monetization (English, Mandarin)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience in gaming/apps industry, sales, account management, or strategy/business development.
  • Understanding of Internet media including mobile spaces, search engines, and online advertising players and business models.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The role of the Large Partner Solutions (LPS) team within the sellside is to build relationships with the largest and most strategic partners across different verticals including Gaming, OEM, Media and Entertainment, etc. The team’s goal is to build sustainable partnerships that deliver economic value to key partners and Google while protecting our shared ecosystem and Google’s reputation. The primary responsibilities include driving growth in the business generation and wherever relevant being the point of contact for the partner for all things related to Google.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic partners in greater China, with a focus on top media and entertainment partners to grow their business with Google.
  • Assist with partners' business goals by proposing optimal and creative solutions. Cross-promote new products or features that will have a positive impact on partner relationships. Provide thought leadership, define strategy and drive execution of key deals. 
  • Build trusted and strategic relationships with partners and develop a thorough understanding of their business challenges. 
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders including leadership and a broad spectrum of other functions, such as Product, Trust and Safety, Sales Finance and Marketing to drive success for partners.
