EMEA Cloud GTM Strategy and Planning Lead

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in commercial strategy, sales operations, business planning, or a structured management consulting environment.
  • Experience owning planning projects, including scoping, resource coordination, and cross-functional work stream integration.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading, accountability-setting, and providing ongoing coaching or mentorship to a team of professionals to drive collective business outcomes.
  • Experience organizing and designing regional business cadences and operational consistency to improve sales productivity.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to drive productivity and innovation in planning workflows, in alignment with responsible AI principles.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to persuade executive leaders, manage high-pressure objections, and deliver structured narratives.
  • Knowledge of Google’s differentiated product suite, go-to-market strategies, and how to map internal systems and company-wide processes to regional goals.

The Google Cloud GTM Strategy and Planning team plays an important role in Google Cloud, acting as trusted advisors to the Sales organization and Strategy and Operations counterparts to plan, strategize, and run the business in a transformational way to ensure its successful growth. Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of the EMEA Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy through key pillars across the Annual Planning process, including customer segmentation, territory design and quota cascade, to ensure alignment between Global GTM & EMEA localized strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the EMEA Sales and Operations (S&O) team and Sales leadership by structuring, analyzing, and communicating complex business challenges and delivering actionable sales planning insights that directly influence executive-level decision making on the prioritization of key growth opportunities.
  • Identify and implement best practices to standardize key sales planning processes and GTM workstreams across markets in EMEA.
  • Execute on key operational processes related to the implementation of EMEA GTM strategy through annual planning and in-year processes.
