Technical Program Manager, NPI, AI/ML GPU Systems

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in hardware engineering, software engineering, Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Systems and solutions.
  • Experience in managing programs and teams.
  • Ability to take accountability and ownership for the project lifecycle, with knowledge of project management.
  • Excellent technical judgement, with the knowledge of distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Set the direction for a program by outlining goals and objectives, evaluating and supervising multiple projects, organizing cross-project work within the program, and defining program controls/governance/standards.
  • Manage multiple cross-functional programs simultaneously with engaging priorities. Drive consistency between Cloud processes and central processes. Manage escalations and unblock issues, ensure all leadership/stakeholders are aware of progress/blockers.
  • Use technical judgment to drive project delivery, technology reviews, test proposals and build consensus.
  • Provide investigative, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Enable execution across multiple teams and drive delivery across the portfolio of Cloud products and solutions. Drive Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is met as agreed to during the commit.
