Strategic Partner Development Principal Lead, Content Partnerships

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in partnerships or partner facing roles.
  • Experience in immersive/spatial or Media and Entertainment content.
  • Experience in business development or partnerships within the hardware and emerging technology sectors.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in a cross-functional capacity within a changing environment, and managing cross-functional forums and working groups.
  • Experience thinking strategically to recommend and lead action plans.
  • Understanding of technology led businesses, including premium content business generation.
  • Ability to possess data-driven mindset and to think across all aspects of structuring and executing on an agreement.
  • Ability to unlock new opportunities and drive from concept to execution (e.g., 0-1 initiatives).

About the job

As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$249,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional and cross product area stakeholders to content formats and experiences, define new business models, and identify potential intersections with emerging technologies.
  • Develop and manage partnerships with filmmakers and production partners to drive content development/acquisition/licensing, brand/product integrations, and distribution across traditional distribution platforms and device form factors.
  • Advocate the role of AI in the future of storytelling, with a focus on bridging creative industry feedback and insights with Google’s research and product development teams building models and tools.
  • Build a framework for incubating new cross-device content formats, assess return on investment and iterate with partners to advance a long-term goal in line with overall platform objectives.
  • Drive and orchestrate cross-functional working groups and forums to alignment around content partnership strategies, agreement structures, and approvals.
