Venture Capital Business Development Executive, Google Cloud (English)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in Venture capital or private equity firms, in an investment banking, Consulting, Partnerships and Business Development role.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to engage with clients in the region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing products and technologies within Cloud or SaaS sectors.
  • Experience in a leadership role at a startup or a Venture Capital firm.
  • Experience creating and executing a Go-To-Market strategy in the startups and digital native space.
  • Knowledge of the local startup ecosystem.
  • Ability to engage with executives, and have the technical knowledge to interact with technical leaders.
  • Ability to establish relationships in a Venture Capitals/startup ecosystem.

About the job

The Venture Capital (VC) & Startup ecosystem Business Development team is an integral part of Google Cloud’s Go To Market strategy for Digital Natives/startup business segment. As part of an entrepreneurial team in this growing business, you will play an important role in understanding the needs of our Digital Native/Startup customers and help shape the future of their business.

In this role, you will engage with early-stage Venture Capitals (VC) in the region to improve startups globally. You will collaborate with Google teams to focus on startups across Google Cloud and Alphabet, foster Google Cloud Platform (GCP) usage among VC portfolio companies through engagement and interventions with the VC funds, and business partnership with Cloud’s Startup and Business Teams. You will be an essential VC and Startup community go-to and Google Cloud representative.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Google Cloud’s partnerships efforts within the designated portfolio of Venture Capital firms.
  • Work with Google Cloud regional business leadership and other internal stakeholders to develop ecosystem strategy for the region, and Venture Capital partner-specific strategies.
  • Build and expand relationships with the key partners at assigned Venture Capitals, translating into partnership agreements with Venture Capital firms.
  • Reach out and develop relationships with Venture Capital portfolio companies in coordination with local sales teams and help sales teams prioritize portfolio companies.
  • Drive value creation for the portfolio companies through the adoption and usage of Google Cloud services, liaising with various functions internally to address the needs of portfolio companies.
