Program Manager, New Product Introduction Operations, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Research or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience in New Product Introduction, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Operations, or Supply/Demand Planning.
  • Experience managing Contract Manufacturers and Component Suppliers. Experience in materials build readiness in NPI and supply chain readiness for Production.
  • Experience with NPI programs for PCBA hardware in networking/cloud/data center environments and experience across the entire product lifecycle, with a focus on vendor management, cost control, quality/reliability, and on-time delivery.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, Operations or other relevant field.
  • Knowledge about hardware Bill of Materials, process documentation and assembly and test processes.
  • Ability to communicate project requirements and schedules.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, quantitative reasoning and creativity skills.

As a Program Manager for Cloud Supply Chain Operations (CSCO), you will deliver reliability to Google's technical infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing programs, defining requirements, managing project schedules and communicating to stakeholders. You will be accountable for delivery on behalf of CSCO's customers and users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional Program teams within Google and with external partners to prepare for production ramp or product transitions.
  • Plan and execute NPI operations development activities and ensure transition from NPI to production delivering cost, quality and capacity parameters. Ensure production transitions meeting program goals and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Manage ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (i.e., Hardware/Design Product maturity, material availability, Quality/Reliability, Cost/Assembly/Test/Bill of materials (BOM)/Capacity Ramp readiness and transition plans).
  • Drive cross-functional teams to optimize the product operations and supply chain to enable Google Cloud Product Roadmap, while accounting for risks, changes in schedule, budget, resources and customer demand.
