Network Test Engineer

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in software development and testing
  • Experience with test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, automation, and debugging.
  • Experience with a coding language (e.g., C, C++, Python, or Go).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with network equipment, network protocols testing, and debugging.
  • Experience in test automation, network test automation, test coverage, Python, networking equipment, ethernet switching, and debugging/troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Test google cloud based platform from a functional and scale perspective.
  • Own and develop automation frameworks for current and future cloud platform products.
  • Automate the test cases that can be executed in a CI/CD environment from build all the way to the canary based deployment.
  • Triage and debug issues, and work with the Platform deployment team to drive best practices.
  • Work with Engineering Development teams, Product management teams, and Engineering Productivity teams to make sure the required libraries and framework is ready for automating the test cases that are lined up for daily and weekly builds.
