With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with the Blink Rendering team to identify, design, and build new web features. You will participate in specification discussions, deliberate design choices, work with partners to address real-world needs, and ultimately build comprehensive solutions. You will be responsible for features in many areas of Blink, including scrolling, CSS and web animations, view transitions, and input.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 150,000-154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new HTML, CSS, and JS features in Chromium's Blink open-source C++ codebase.
  • Develop feature test suites using HTML, CSS, and JS.
  • Work with web specification working groups, such as the CSS Working Group (CSS spec), WHAT Working Group (HTML spec), and others.
  • Participate in design and discussion with external browser vendors, such as Safari and Firefox, to agree on the direction of features. Further, author specifications for emerging features.
  • Identify, investigate, and fix issues with existing Blink Rendering features: correctness, polish, and performance.
