  • 1 year of experience in a Technology or Media industry.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

  • Experience managing complex, end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience working autonomously in a dynamic, ever-changing, and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to navigate with ambiguity, solve complex problems effectively across a large and highly distributed organization.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

As a Strategic Partner Development Associate, you will be a problem solving partner manager to help address the challenges we face in the News industry in the Middle East, Turkiye, Israel and Africa.

In this role, you will execute the strategy set for Middle East and Africa (MEA) based on new or existing programs and products - together with the cross-functional teams. You will negotiate content and product agreements in a challenging environment. You will maintain a keen pulse on the News ecosystem in MEA and Google’s role within it, you will represent your partners with internal regional and global stakeholders and play a significant role in shaping Google’s News initiatives as we continue in pursuit of gathering the world's information for our users. You will work closely with the cross-functional leadership in EMEA to ensure the strategy aligns with their activities. You will be expected to collaborate on the roll out of specific projects or initiatives with other Partnerships teams (e.g., YouTube, Play, Cloud etc) and Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP), Communications, Legal, Marketing and Product teams.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of the MEA News Partnerships strategy, addressing Google’s opportunities and challenges with News publishers in Africa, Turkiye, Israel and the Middle East - from a business and reputational perspective.
  • Drive product and content licensing negotiations with strategic partners, collaborating with Product, Legal and Public Policy teams.
  • Lead “One-Google” approaches for strategic partners, with the view to improve and deepen the collaboration with the partners including at the executive level.
  • Support the planning and roll out of Google’s News industry programs like the Google News Initiative (GNI) training and events, propose strategies and provide insights.
