Strategy and Operations Lead, Global Partnerships (English, Portuguese)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 6 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Portuguese and English to interact with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in crafting and communicating data insights, coupled with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive interest in understanding business performance through metrics, trends, and patterns.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating with executive stakeholders in an organization and influencing without direct authority including problem solving, presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in people management and leading complex strategy work on ambiguous business problems with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to grow in an ambiguous and changing environment with limited direction, balance engaging priorities, and manage several time-sensitive projects at once.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish fluently.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.

The Business Strategy & Operations organization provides business critical insights using analytics, ensures cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with effective day-to-day operations, and help evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The Partnerships Solutions team in Global Partnerships provides Strategy and Operations, Go-To-Market, and Industry solutions support Knowledge and Information Partnerships (K&IP). We focus on driving the transformation required to build the world's best partnerships team, and serve as the backbone and nervous system enabling our K&IP team to function at its best. Our team provides insights and thought leadership on key topics, advises business leaders on vertical strategy and organizational design, helps drive business operations and efficiency, builds executive narratives, and supports product commercialization.

The Knowledge and Information Partnerships team builds product partnerships to enable cohesive, helpful, and user journeys while creating healthy ecosystems that bring sustainable value to Google across Gemini, Google DeepMind, Search, Social Impact, Research, Core, Labs, Geo, Real World Journeys (formerly known as Travel and Local Verticals), Ads, and Payments and Shopping.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Managing Director to develop the LATAM Knowledge and Information (K&I) partnerships ecosystem strategy, growth drivers, and business plan, becoming an integral part of the leadership team and their trusted advisor.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive support and operational initiatives that enable our partnerships' goals across multiple Google product areas.
  • Drive critical analysis and recommendations on highest priority topics and escalations related to partnership/Go-To-Market strategy across all our products and solutions.
  • Provide strategy and operations support to senior leaders in the Global Partnerships organization and to regional leaders.
  • Develop clear, simple and persuasive internal and external communications to influence executive stakeholders.
