Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage product roadmaps, and deliver high-quality products on schedule
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
- Experience with deploying machine learning models in production, including quality evaluation, precision/recall tradeoffs, and policy design
- Experience with geospatial data or professional work in a related field
- Experience with SQL, Python, and self-directed data analysis
- Experience with data platforms and APIs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to different audiences.

In this role, you will be responsible for synthesizing an understanding user needs, the market for geospatial data, technological capabilities, and the interests of multiple stakeholders into a coherent roadmap to drive impact over the short and long term in terms of more successful user trips for Google Maps and developers who build on our platforms.
The Geo team is focused on building the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for our users, through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Every month, more than a billion people rely on Maps services to explore the world and navigate their daily lives.
The Geo team also enables developers to use the power of Google Maps platforms to enhance their apps and websites. As they plot a course for the future of mapping, they are solving complex computer science problems, designing beautiful and intuitive product experiences, and improving our understanding of the real world.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Play a critical role in guiding every user to their destination across Google Maps and Developer APIs by owning the key geospatial data/logic used in end-of-trip routing
- Set the strategy to enhance and maintain a geospatial database of destination-related information including entrances, parking, and other last mile details
- Design and launch new systems to process complex information like street parking restrictions and turn them into delightful user experiences, in collaboration with Consumer teams
- Identify and tailor experience to support specific developer use cases like delivery rideshare pick up, and more, in collaboration with Geo Developer teams
- Define and measure the impact of your work including executive-level communications, metrics definition, and team-level dashboards
