  • 6 years of program management experience within design or UX organizations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing UX metrics and data to leverage insights that drive strategy and program prioritization.
  • Experience working on operational initiatives that streamline the UX design process and drive a culture of user-centered development.
  • Experience working with cross-functional partners to manage projects and build stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience managing operational, product and team health risks within a UX context, and ability to align UX practices with business requirements.
  • Experience with design systems or other design infrastructure, including ability to deliver work across organizations.
  • Ability to build and launch programs that improve the organization and support UX researchers.

Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers: we care deeply about the people who use our products. As a UX Program Manager (UX Programs & Operations), you will combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help your team improve the design of products that are used by billions of users. You’ll plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure projects meet deadlines. You’ll harmonize the work of UX Designers, Researchers, Content Strategists, UX Engineers, and other UX disciplines, while also working closely with our Engineering and Product Manager cross-functional partners, to drive UX team objectives and create innovative experiences for our business, products, and users.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and execute on opportunities to help the team maximize and improve their velocity and impact, supporting UX researchers.
  • Lead and collaborate with UX team leadership in key project decision-making and coordinate delivery for multiple UX related projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with leadership in scaling the team by identifying, prioritizing and sequencing programs across teams and products.
  • Serve as a bridge between UX, Engineering, and Product Management teams, connecting all three groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for.
  • Identify team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, and asset management, driving required changes.
