Principal Analytical Lead, Category Expansion, Large Customer Sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in media analytics, advertising sales, digital media and marketing, consulting, or financial analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience influencing data science, engineering and marketing teams, as well as c-suite/senior level executives.
  • Experience performing marketing experiments, return on investment/financial modeling, and statistical analyses.
  • Experience uncovering compelling insights, building narratives, and scaling thought leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of Aggregator space, across Lead Gen and Retail industries, and experience with online advertising (Search, Display, Video/TV) and website analytics (e.g. Google Analytics).
  • Familiarity with performance marketing and measurement solutions (e.g., MMM, Experiments, MTA, incrementality, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with comfort delivering simple and compelling stories to audiences of all levels.

We are seeking an Analytical Lead to advance our Category Expansion pillar. This is the epitome of "data-driven decision making" enabling our customers to successfully expand into new industries through insightful business analysis, automated tooling, and strategic recommendations.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000-$203,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with cross-functional teams to build new Category Expansion features, set clear roles and responsibilities, and improve sales processes.
  • Advance tooling/dashboards for Analytical Leads and customers through clear roadmaps, outstanding communication, and excellent execution.
  • Frequently present updates to senior management on the impact of Category Expansion, resource needs, challenges and revenue opportunities.
  • Lead vertical and sector level efforts to scale Category Expansion impact.
  • Mentor other analysts who are part of the broader Category Expansion workstream.
