Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in sales, with 3 years of experience in a sales management role.
  • Experience building sales teams and defining sales culture.
  • Experience in people management, identifying, attracting, and developing a team and creating a team culture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Ability to support, inspire, and grow your team and customers. Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to participate directly and help teams understand performance data, identify opportunities, and land and scale success, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify issues and priorities to escalate regionally/globally and to product teams.
  • Ability to develop and deliver a joint business strategy that is dynamic and balances short-term delivery with longer term sustainable success, and excellent strategic and commercial acumen.

About the job

As Director, you will lead a sales team to ensure that large customers in the Benelux region are getting the best of Google Ads and AI to help them achieve their ambitious goals. You will lead your team to engage with a wide variety of existing advertising companies to find the optimal advertising solution for each client. You will build a passionate competitive sales team and will show the return on investment our customers get from our solutions. Your business will be anchored in ambitious joint business plans and pipeline management. You will grow the sales capabilities of your sales team to help each member to fulfill their personal potential. You will create and enhance a values based culture of respect and high performance selling while role modeling these behaviors and skills.

In this role, you will regularly represent Google in these markets with C-level customers to help these advertisers achieve the marketing and business goals. In addition, you will sit on the leadership team for Northern Europe GCS and as such be a key influencer and operator of that wider business. You will be an executive sales leader that earns the admiration of your team, our large customers, and the industry by driving results and hitting sales goals for markets across Benelux region.

In collaboration, we create and implement business plans broadly for all types of businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate, coach, and develop your sales team to high performance, prioritizing hitting key metrics and delivering results for customers and Google. Model high-performance competitive selling and a knowledge of the marketplace for your team.
  • Ensure Google’s ads business success across your portfolio by delivering maximum value to our customers.
  • Create a culture of consistent high-performance in sales, ensuring purpose and respect remain at the heart of the team.
  • Run a highly efficient, effective sales team using data to support key decisions and help sellers achieve their full potential through sales and AI skills development. 
  • Be part of the executive leadership team for the Central Europe organization developing and executing the people strategy.
