Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of technical program management leadership experience.
  • 10 years of experience in building and leading teams.
  • 10 years of experience managing execution of programs that span multiple engineering teams.
  • Experience designing and running mechanisms processes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional team projects.
  • Understanding of the product life-cycle in a fast moving environment.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries and manage executive relationships.
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and changing specifications, standards.
  • Ability to determine the best course of action and execute it with limited guidance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and convincingly articulate material via “1-pager” format and synthesize executive communications, presentations, dashboards, and documentation for audiences.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

As a part of the AI and Cloud Expansion TPM team, you will direct a portfolio of programs that accelerate business impact and drive 10X Google Cloud Expansion while maintaining exceptional customer experience. You will lead program strategy and teams to deliver business, operational, and technical improvements. In this role, you will measure success through company-level OKRs, ecosystem health, and organizational performance. You will scale best practices, advocate for technical program management, secure executive buy-in and resources, and serve as a recognized subject matter expert both internally and externally.The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what’s possible. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Leadership of a TPM team responsible for development of a portfolio of cross-cutting AI and Cloud Expansion programs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scale and speed of cloud expansion by 10X, advocate for investment decisions and drive cross-functional efforts while maintaining accurate visibility of program status, risks, and outlook, establish systematic approaches to manage risks and ensure program success.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to scale Google's infrastructure with clear principles and meet business objectives.
  • Negotiate and referee milestone-setting, reporting and problem-identification processes.
  • Orchestrate across various sets of cross-functional stakeholders both technical and non-technical to create processes and tooling that facilitate toil reduction for engineering and customers
