Strategy and Operations Senior Lead, Insights and Analytics

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in management consulting, and strategy, or analytics in a technology company.
  • 5 years of experience in management consulting or other business strategies.
  • Experience working with and analyzing data, and managing multiple projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building relationships with peers and executive stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
  • Experience leading operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in product research and development life-cycle or marketing and go-to-market research and development life-cycle.
  • Ability to identify problems across organizations and create programs and processes to solve them.
  • Ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting project deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation design skills.

Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.

Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.

As an Insights and Analytics Strategy and Operations Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping and driving the success of our team. You will define and establish the Insights and Analytics team's day-to-day operations and cultivate cross-functional partnerships to ensure the smooth operation of the Insights and Analytics team. You will also develop and implement global operational and team-wide strategy, programs and processes.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000-$248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment on Insights and Analytics strategy, priorities, resource allocation, and progress to ensure the team is working against the highest priorities.
  • Identify and address gaps in strategy, processes, tools and documentation, and work with Insights and Analytics leads in designing and implementing solutions to drive scalable operational efficiencies.
  • Architect and orchestrate Insights and Analytics and cross-functional operating mechanisms (e.g., team meetings, reviews, and annual planning) in order to improve overall research and data science quality and team effectiveness.
  • Act as a strategic partner and provide insightful guidance and direction.
  • Partner with Insights and Analytics leads and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, manage implementation, and drive delivery of programs across multiple product categories.
