Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in business development, consulting, partnerships, or sales/marketing.
- Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to partner with both local and APAC clients.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading strategic partnerships with mobile games/apps developers.
- Experience in the broader Apps industry in Greater China and APAC.
- Understanding of apps development, distribution platforms, business models, and value chains, with the passion for mobile apps.
- Ability to negotiate complex partnership agreements, structure agreements, and drive business growth, with effective business acumen.
- Excellent people management and networking skills, with the ability to establish and influence strong relationships with partners at all levels.
About the job
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.
As a Partner Development Manager, you'll be a strategic advisor and advocate for leading Apps developers, fostering their growth and success on the Android platform and Google Play. You'll leverage your industry expertise and business acumen to forge strong partnerships, negotiate impactful agreements, and unlock new business opportunities for both developers and Google.

Responsibilities
- Own and execute the partnership strategy for app developers in Greater China, identify and prioritize opportunities for mutual growth.
- Provide data-driven insights and strategic guidance to key partners, helping them optimize their apps business on Google Play.
- Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, Go-To-Market, StratOps and payment teams to shape platform features and commercial initiatives that benefit both developers and users.
- Advocate for Google Play and Android, driving adoption of strategic products and features among partners.
- Monitor market trends, engaged landscape, and emerging opportunities in the App industry.
