Customer Experience Tech Associate, gReach Program (Japanese)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience writing SQL, confidence in at least one programming language.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently in order to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience using AI or ability to leverage AI in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently in order to interact with internal and external stakeholders.

About the job

The gReach Program is a 12 months paid upskilling program for industry professionals with disabilities where participants will receive on-the-job-training and work on a range of projects. The goal of the gReach program is to provide participants from under-represented groups with the opportunity to grow their career as professionals.

The Customer Experience team works across gTech Ads Sellside technical support and consulting teams and unites them under the common goal of providing great service experience to the customer and making service a competitive advantage of Google.

Your goal will be to improve Customer Experience, by building tools that help the support teams.

Building these support tools involves:

  • Collaborating with the team to understand requirements.
  • Identifying the most adapted technologies.
  • Coding in modern popular scripting languages.
  • Connecting to Generative APIs, prompt/context/RAG engineering.
  • Configuring environments and permissions.
  • Gathering or creating test data.
  • Testing, fixing bugs.
  • Measuring impact.

Throughout all of these steps, creative use of AI is encouraged to improve quality and efficiency. In particular, the use of Google-approved generative AI coding tools is very welcome.

Once you get a solid understanding of our users' goals, there is also space for you to imagine new tools, then design and implement them.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in rapid prototyping and testing for proof of concept.
  • Create and maintain software for internal users.
  • Migrate existing tools to new frameworks and APIs.
