  • Experience in Education or Education-adjacent role.
  • Excellent cross-team and cross-functional collaboration skills.

The Site Reliability Engineering Education team's purpose is to share reliability principles, best practices, and SRE culture. Our mission is to advance understanding and adoption of reliability principles, best practices, and SRE culture at Google. We develop training materials and technology. In this role, you will be working with multiple engineering teams across multiple sites to inform a broad core technical curriculum. You will have a passion for learning design and education. You will also have flexibility and resourcefulness to develop training material on a project that is under development. You will be comfortable in a changing evolving environment

Responsibilities

  • Assess the accuracy of technical training material by collaborating across Google's engineering organization with a focus on SRE and Google Cloud platform/tools and infrastructure (GCP/TI).
  • Simplify technical information into learning objectives and learning tasks.
  • Collaborate with a learning designer to create a training flow that will lead students through the material optimally.
  • Conduct needs analysis and design scalable interactive learning solutions; develop codelabs and other interactive materials that satisfy learning objectives.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement a global capability development (GCD) training delivery system that can scale to multiple partners.
