Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in brand marketing, content creation, communications management, or a related role focused on storytelling and narrative development.
  • Experience in developing narratives, writing, editing, and distilling information into clear, concise, and engaging stories.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in a role that requires building and managing a stories database or content management system.
  • Understanding of how to use storytelling to build brand and program awareness, and drive business goals.
  • Ability to build, implement, and manage strategic, cross-collaborative projects with a degree of quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Ability to grow in a cross-functional environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and passion for connecting with people to uncover their unique stories.

As a Stories Marketing Manager, you will lead discovery, cultivation, and promotion of our most powerful assets stories of our users and partners. You will be responsible for creating a strategy, operationalizing the process, and delivering narratives that resonate across our marketing channels. You will not only uncover the compelling human stories behind our work, but you will also manage a stories database and provide the operational excellence needed to ensure we consistently deliver high-impact content.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$163,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a robust stories database, ensuring a consistent pipeline of high-quality narratives that align with our marketing priorities.
  • Craft authentic and powerful narratives by conducting interviews, shaping key messages, and polishing stories to make them shine. Master the Google voice, ensuring stories are both inspirational and aligned with our brand. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate stories into campaigns/announcements/case studies. Connect the dots and provide guidance on which stories to use, how to adapt them for different channels, and how to maximize their impact.
  • Refine the operational process for managing our storytelling pipeline, from initial discovery to final publication. Ensure stories are properly vetted, approved, and ready for use across various platforms.
