Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience addressing cross-functional business issues with data analytics.
  • Experience working with SQL and data visualization.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience supporting or deploying strategy (driving complex initiatives) for sales or partner teams.
  • Experience in advanced SQL and data analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with Apps Script, SQL, Python, or another scripting language, and with Google Data Studio.
  • Ability to build effective presentations and briefing documents to communicate insights and influence decision making, including communicating results to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated success and capacity for developing and understanding strategy.
  • Excellent technical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong business judgment.

Product and Sales Activation (PSA) brings expertise in product and business strategies enabling Google Customer Solutions (GCS) to drive success with small businesses. PSA’s mission is to shape, simplify, and scale product solutions to help businesses of all sizes grow with Google.

The Tail team within PSA is focused on customers who are new-to-Google, part of our scaled business programs, and even those who are not supported by a Google seller. The Tail Strategy and Insights team delivers actionable insights through quantitative analysis and qualitative customer feedback to drive our global strategy in support of these customers.

In this role, you will provide analysis and insights to guide Google’s growth and sustainability strategy for small businesses. You will become an expert on data driving the Tail business, lead cross-functional data science and problem solving projects to drive product and/or go-to-market plans, and provide thought partnership across the team to solve business challenges. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about supporting Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) in their advertising goals, and is excited to drive impact in ambiguity.

In collaboration, we create and implement business plans broadly for all types of businesses.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build an understanding of business, customer needs and problems, and scope projects designed to address them.
  • Structure and implement analyses, and synthesize the findings leveraging a set of data and tools (e.g., data visualization, dashboard reporting).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize work, align on methodologies/approaches, drive execution, track progress, and assess impact.
  • Present key findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization to drive decision making.
  • Establish thorough processes for documenting, sourcing, and maintaining work, and ensure that work/outputs are compliant with the policies.
