Senior Technical Program Manager, Multimodal Lens

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in technical design document and review process, codelab creation for a new tool or process.
  • Experience in stakeholder and team management specifically in an extended workforce environment.
  • Experience working in a multi stakeholder environment of engineering, product and operations teams with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to cross-functionally lead and work collaboratively with the team.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering projects end-to-end for Search Multimodal, collaborating with product and engineering teams.
  • Understand technical subjects and communicate with Engineering teams and effectively bring clarity to chaos for cross-functional projects with vague requirements/goals/scope/complex problems.
  • Plan projects such as milestones, timelines, dependencies, risks.
  • Track and execute projects such as tracking, reporting, cross-functional communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive processes.
