Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with Linux operating systems internals and administration, technical infrastructure (e.g., deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting), and with reliability of technical infrastructure.
- 3 years of experience with one or more programming/scripting languages (Python, Bash).
Preferred qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in Cloud Systems Design.
- Experience with configuration as code such as Puppet configuration management.
- Experience with one or more cloud computing environments.
- Experience with filesystems, including Network File System, Lustre, Cloud Filestore and Infrastructure as code such as Terraform provisioning experience.
- Knowledge of silicon design tools and methods (electronic design automation), including knowledge of RTL to Graphic Data System (GDS) workflows and FlexLM license servers.
- Knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and security fundamentals.

Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain computing infrastructure for use by internal teams.
- Create new, and improve existing, Linux computing, storage, and networking environments running on Google Cloud Platform.
- Improve operations work and reduce support toil by proposing and implementing automation and process improvements.
- Troubleshoot advanced technical issues within a large scale Linux computing environment.
- Participate in limited on-call rotation and monitoring of production distributed computing infrastructure.
