System Security Architecture Lead, Silicon

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience with Mobile SoC Security Architecture.
  • 6 years of experience in people management and developing employees.
  • Experience in SoC security technologies such as secure boot, virtualization, CPU security, trustzone, secure enclaves and hardware/software (HW/SW) architectures.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
  • 5 years of experience in software architecture.
  • Experience with architecting solutions that meet security certifications such as Common Criteria EAL4+ or FIPS 140-3.
  • Experience in cross organizational and cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • Ability to lead with influence.

We are looking for a talented SoC security architect to lead the System security architecture efforts in the Google Silicon organization. In this role, you will be evaluating the security posture of Tensor/Pixel, architecting novel solutions to address emerging threats and landing those solutions by working collaboratively with cross-functional and cross organizational partners. You will have a understanding of the SoC chassis as well as the software stack, and be able to come up with creative solutions that meet the security properties while achieving key system key performance indicator (KPIs). The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive Tensor SoC security architecture in collaboration with security assurance, software security architecture and product teams.
  • Lead a path finding for security initiatives.
  • Build a silicon system security architecture team that is a center of excellence on embedded security within Google.
  • Develop a system architecture to support existing and emerging uses including Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI), user authentication, coalition for content provenance and authenticity (C2PA) and data privacy.
  • Develop a next-generation talent in the field of silicon security.
