EHS Operations Program Manager, Third Party Data Centers, NASA

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management, including management of EHS compliance for data centers or other industrial facilities.
  • Experience with environmental regulations, safety and health protection.
  • Experience in health, safety, and environmental protection practices and procedures as they apply to common construction processes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience managing independent workflows and EHS initiatives.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects from conception to delivery, ensuring all EHS programs align with organizational goals.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and industry best practices to maintain a culture of safety and environmental sustainability.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments, using excellent people management skills to influence safety outcomes and team performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues and optimize program efficiency.

  • Ensure that Google infrastructure complies with all applicable health, safety and environmental requirements.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is CAD 128,000-131,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities

  • Drive EHS programs from inception to completion, ensuring total alignment with Google’s global safety and strategic goals.
  • Identify optimizations and lead change management initiatives to enhance program performance through data-driven metrics.
  • Define and resolve ambiguous, cross-functional problems by applying independent judgment to adapt programs in dynamic, evolving environments.
  • Cultivate strong relationships across teams to align expectations, mitigate program risks, and communicate progress to leadership groups.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and industry trends to foster a culture of safety and continuous operational improvement.
