Interaction Designer, Support Platform

Minimum qualifications:

From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products.

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

In this role, you will build infrastructure providing help and support solutions for approximately 400 Google products, including Ads, YouTube, Play, Pay, and Pixel. Your primary focus is enabling customers to self-serve and resolve issues leveraging the best of AI, machine learning, and agentic technologies, while seamlessly looping in human assistance when required. You will redefine advertiser support by building an "Agentic-First" future and will be creating a dynamic, proactive ecosystem powered by transformative AI. You will deliver intelligent, proactive AI experiences that automatically troubleshoot problems and optimize campaigns.

By fostering a self-improving system, you will ensure that every single interaction yields high-value training data, continuously elevating the agent's intelligence, capabilities, and effectiveness over time.

Google Ads is helping power the open internet with the best technology that connects and creates value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Leverage AI tools to reimagine existing support journeys, prototype, and ship groundbreaking products.
  • Deliver high-quality, holistic designs that balance user and business needs from concept to execution.
  • Communicate user experiences at various stages using wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, and high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand requirements and provide creative, thoughtful solutions.
  • Push creativity and develop new approaches to complex design problems while ensuring alignment with Google-wide standards.
