Minimum qualifications:

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Module Tech Operations is an organization that supplies the components that later get assembled into Google Devices. Within the group, we are a centralized team of Technical Program Managers that cover programs across Google's Devices and Services (hardware division). Technical Program Managers work vertically by consolidating information and catering to specific needs by building relationships and exercising influence, fueled by their passion to launch devices and willingness for constant technical learning. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to lead as one business unit's technical bridge.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Module Technical Operations representative in core teams and executive forums for all electrical, electromechanical modules and mechanical parts of a product line.
  • Drive module resource planning, build and communicate manufacturing process development plans, schedules/milestones and readiness.
  • Coordinate and support cross functional development activities and issues to enforce Module Phase Gate milestones and deliverables enabling highest levels of Quality and Reliability built into the modules.
  • Support new product integration builds and work with onsite teams to resolve any module related issues. Anticipate problems and formulate efficient solutions for given circumstances so as not to impede progress of the project.
  • Identify project risks and drive mitigation plans, prioritizing activities and influencing internal teams and vendors.
