Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in a strategy, business operations, program management, or management consulting role.
  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and headcount management.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and business integrations.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing vendor relationships and performance.
  • Experience overseeing a resource management or staffing function within a consulting or services organization.
  • Experience in the public sector or with government clients.
  • Experience writing business requirements and leading UAT for internal systems or tools.
  • Familiarity with Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools (e.g., Certinia/FinancialForce) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

About the job

This role is a unique and pivotal position within the central Business Intelligence and Operations organization, yet fully dedicated to the Google Public Sector Services (GPSS) business. This structure allows you to act as a critical bridge, translating the specific strategic and operational needs of the GPSS business—which includes Google Cloud Consulting and Mandiant Consulting—into actionable plans and system requirements. You will serve as the strategic backbone for a dynamic, fast-growing team that brings Google's technology to government and educational institutions, ensuring that our operational framework is as robust and scalable as the solutions we deliver.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $153,000-$222,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual strategic and operational planning cycle, managing the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) process to ensure tight alignment between strategic goals and execution.
  • Manage core financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking investments to ensure fiscal discipline and support strategic growth.
  • Oversee a team of operations analysts, program managers, and a vendor workforce, providing mentorship, defining priorities, and scaling the team's impact.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements by authoring business requirement documents, evaluating engineering plans for internal tools (e.g., Vector/Salesforce), leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and partnering with Business Intelligence to design and implement dashboards that measure and monitor performance.
  • Drive the operational integration of the Professional Services Organization (PSO) and Mandiant teams, establishing unified business processes, reporting standards, and systems to create a seamless one team experience.
