Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (Java or C++).
- 3 years of experience with performance optimization, systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- Experience working on any of the technologies like Mendel, Data Analytics, Big Data, FlumeJava, PLX.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, to work collaboratively with internal and partner contacts and to influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills.

Photos is one of the most sought after products at Google and is looking for both client-side (web and mobile), with server-side (search, storage, serving) and machine intelligence (learning, computer vision) Software Engineers. Responsibilities
- Design and build self-service infrastructure and experimentation platforms that empower engineering teams across Google One to launch features faster, safer, and more reliably.
- Develop and scale the core data infrastructure, including tools that enable teams to independently create and manage the data pipelines required for generating critical metrics.
- Own and enhance the large-scale systems that form the backbone of our data and Machine Learning lifecycle, ensuring high performance and availability.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights by creating critical visualizations and dashboards for leadership, while also enabling others to build their own.
- Navigate ambiguous problem spaces to identify key areas of impact, define technical strategy, and present clear perspectives to stakeholders in a dynamic, agile team environment.
