Strategy and Operations Manager II, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, operations, technology, or a similar field.
  • Experience working with executive-level clients or stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently as this is a role that requires communication with US and Canada based partners in English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • Experience creating insights using business analytics and SQL and presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Experience building lasting relationships and a proven ability to meet and exceed goals in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and influence a large number of senior cross-functional stakeholders, guiding executive decision-making amidst complex organizational dynamics.
  • Operational accuracy combined with business acumen, problem solving, project management, and analytics.
  • Strategic thinking that can take broad concepts and vision to develop structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics and then effectively execute those plans.

The Strategy and Operations team within Google Cloud Consulting partners with the broader organization to develop go-to-market strategies, provide business-critical insights through analytics, ensure cross-functional alignment, and drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives. This team aligns high-level company priorities with day-to-day operations and helps evolve early-stage ideas into future growth.

As a Strategy & Operations Manager, you will be a pivotal business partner and trusted advisor to senior leaders. You'll own and drive end-to-end cross-functional programs to enhance processes, ensure operational excellence, and standardize reporting. Leveraging data, you'll advocate the truth for business performance, crafting compelling presentations for executive reviews and strategic memorandums. You'll be the key point person for critical business cadences including annual planning, forecasting, and business reviews for the Americas region, proactively anticipating needs and minimizing "fire drills" to ensure smooth operations and execution of the Google Cloud strategy. You'll manage multiple priorities and ambiguity independently, consistently driving alignment and delivering complex programs.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate and optimize critical business cadences for the Americas region, including annual planning, forecasting, and executive business reviews, ensuring seamless execution and proactive problem-solving.
  • Serve as the definitive source of truth for business performance, transforming complex data into actionable insights and compelling presentations for executive consumption and strategic decision-making.
  • Drive process excellence and reporting standardization by independently leading end-to-end cross-functional programs, directly impacting operational efficiency and consistency.
  • Act as a key strategic advisor and trusted business partner to senior leadership, fostering alignment and influencing outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Advocate strategic initiatives and complex program delivery across Google Cloud Consulting, navigating ambiguity and driving alignment with regional and central teams to achieve strategic goals.
