Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, investigation, auditing, legal, or consulting.
- Experience building compliance programs from the ground up.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Law, Business, Compliance, or a similar field.
- Experience identifying potential risks and developing innovative solutions.
- Experience in influencing decision-making at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Experience with compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, internal control frameworks, and compliance policies and frameworks.
- Experience bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous situations, with excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior management, regulators, and external stakeholders.

The newly formed Risk, Compliance & Integrity organization (RCI) brings together critical compliance, assurance, risk, and governance functions across Google to help the company meet compliance needs and enable our businesses to innovate. Our goal is to make compliance a competitive advantage for Google by driving scaled, data-driven, and policy-based compliance programs. We manage our operations through risk-based prioritization, governance, consistent, and constructive regulator engagement.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain content and AI governance framework through the development and enforcement of clear policies and guidelines.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with legal, compliance, and technical teams to ensure cohesive content and AI strategy, and adherence to ethical principles.
- Define the methodology for content and AI risk assessments and collaborate with technical teams on execution.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and frameworks for contingency plans across content and AI initiatives.
- Monitor regulatory trends and translate them into governance policies and standards, and collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to shape the organization's overall content and AI risk management approach.
