Program Manager III, Demand and Supply Planning

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree.
  • Knowledge of the tools and elements of project management, with excellent accountability and ownership skills for end-to-end project life-cycle.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across multiple levels of an organization with experience leading cross-functional process improvements and holding project leads accountable to the greater project goals.
  • Ability to shift between detailed analysis and big picture thinking and customizing communication based on the audience.
  • Ability to be an influential member of an integrated team of technical and non-technical members.
  • Excellent investigative skills including experience in data modeling, trend analysis, statistics, forecasting, or business insights.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a supply/demand planning Program Manager, you will be part of a group of planners responsible to understand our Product Areas capacity requirements and ensure that Google has the appropriate amount of infrastructure (primarily machines) to meet those needs. You will collaborate and contribute cross functionally on project requirements for new processes and software systems, coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive decision making and plan for scalable, efficient and predictable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to structure and communicate policies abd methodologies for demand/supply management.
  • Utilize best methods in evaluating supply chain’s ability to meet customer demand.
  • Contribute in demand and supply planning meetings with cross-functional teams, reviewing supply, demand risks/mitigation options/service level goals.
  • Present demand and supply recommendations with sound models and logic to leadership, drive timely decisions, and ensure clear and concise communication to all stakeholders in the supply chain organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and drive resolution of supply chain exceptions/escalations in a timely manner.
