Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 13 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related fields.
- 3 years of experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning and related frameworks.
- Experience in data analytics tools and quantitative methodologies.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's or PhD in relevant field.
- Experience in an operational role within the Trust and Safety or AI/ML domain.
- Experienced in working with product teams to measure risks and design mitigations.
- Knowledge of ethics and socio-technical considerations of technology and the future of AI
- Proven track record of thought leadership and innovation in managing open-ended problems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and the ability to query and analyse large datasets, and convey insights to a executive audience to inform decisions and influence cross-functionally at various levels.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. The Trust and Safety Launch Governance and Operations (LGO) team accelerates Google's launch velocity by delivering predictable, principle-driven responsibility governance workflows. We operate at the intersection of innovation and safety, evaluating risks and strategic opportunities for new products and features. We ensure development teams are equipped with the knowledge of Google's AI Principles and responsibility standards and have the tools to implement them early in the development lifecycle. The LGO provides transparent, streamlined workflows for model launches, meticulously documenting evaluations and mitigations that directly inform product-level responsibility decisions. Finally, we build reporting infrastructure to provide stakeholders with the snapshots and briefings necessary to ensure a coordinated, responsible market entry for all major launches.

- Develop and implement governance processes for new generative and agentic AI models.
- Act as a trusted partner to executive stakeholders, building excellent relationships and providing clear, compelling communications on trust and safety issues.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and research, to embed responsible processes and technologies directly into the model development lifecycle.
- Design and execute sophisticated data analyses to identify emerging risks, measure the effectiveness of our mitigations, and inform decisions.
- Optimize operational workflows, continuously seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
