Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (eg. Python or Java).
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in software design and development.
- Experience in Android development, interfaces, and protocols.
- Experience in developing infrastructure/tools for test automation, defining metrics and building monitoring systems, for product excellence.
- Ability to influence and engage with cross-functional teams to shape software development culture and project direction.
- Excellent programming skills in any one of the following: Python, C++, Java/Kotlin.

In this role, you will ensure the overall quality and user experience of Google Pixel and related devices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple sites, including the US, Shanghai, and London. You will develop infrastructure and tooling, integration, field and carrier testing, pre-certification testing, quality analysis, and more. You will have the opportunity to develop leadership, cross-functional skills, and build innovative solutions.
The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s software and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.
Responsibilities
- Work with talented software engineers and leads to innovate and work to empower features on Google Pixel.
- Develop and maintain scalable, objective, trusted full stack systems needed to support business and testing functions.
- Use data-driven methods to iterate and measure fast, understand and support when we need to pivot to ensure we achieve maximal focus towards improving the business.
