About the job
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Our team’s mission is to provide a seamless and unparalleled product experience by assuring the quality of Google's Home and Health products. We act as a critical bridge between our customers and product development, leading and driving quality through the entire product life-cycle. By translating field and customer insights into a new bar for quality, and by partnering cross-functionally, and driving accountability via key metrics, we not only enable our business but also ensure the best possible experience for our users.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
- Lead and drive the product quality strategy throughout the entire life-cycle, from early concept to end-of-life.
- Translate critical customer and field data into actionable insights, advocating a higher quality bar for our devices.
- Identify issues, define key quality metrics, and drive accountability across teams.
- Impact the business by minimizing returns, improving product health, and shaping our next generation of products.
