Technical Operations Manager, Third-Party Data Center Operational Audits

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience working in an operational audit role.
  • Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure.
  • Experience with initiating and executing initiatives in a global environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience conducting compliance audits on operational requirements.
  • Ability to perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party sites.
  • Ability to forecast resource requirements in a driven way.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for operations and people management.

About the job

As a Data Center Operational Audit Technical Operations Manager, you will be deeply involved in nearly every aspect of Colocation operations of our electrical, cooling, and IT infrastructure. You will partner with the Google data center engineering team, Hardware operations, Network Infrastructure and third party data center vendors and operators with a focus on Operability, Maintainability and Reliability from an operations compliance and audit perspective.

This role will require considerable travel to conduct audits within regional locations upto 50%.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct the operational assessment process across the region to ensure practices and product requirements.
  • Perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third-party colocation sites.
  • Execute program compliance and assessment requirements.
  • Keep main stakeholders informed about current work and discuss decisions and directions with them.
  • Contribute to focus area strategy and setting strategy associated with the execution of the third-party colocation site audits.
